Let The Dead Fest is our Oktoberfest. This lager embodies everything we love about fall. Its orange hue reminds us of the turning leaves and rows of pumpkins with crooked smiles. Its Munich malt backbone is just the right bite for the rapidly chilling nights. There is no better beer for the fall. Grab some while it lasts!

16 oz can gifted to me by a co-worker.

Nice appearance with a medium amber color and good clarity. Medium, creamy, white head with good retention. Toasted malt and caramel aroma. A little toffee and malt sweetness mixed as well. The flavor and feel fell flat for me. Bland and a little too sweet. Not as clean as it should be. Not the worst Oktoberfest I've had but far from great. Wasn't feeling this one.

Treated as an Oktoberfest, this was poured into a glass mug.
The appearance was a fabulous looking dark amber to rusty brown color. Small cap of a little white foamy head dissipated finely. No lace was left.
The aroma capped together some sweet roasted nuts, clean caramel/toffee malts, some grassy/earthy hops, sweet butter (but not diacetyl) and an ever so slight dose of red delicious apples (boy, that's different, but enjoyable!).
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side all of the way, lots of great malty qualities running about and intertwine. Some crisp earthy hops hit right before the aftertaste occurs, which was somewhat like dark toast, caramel coated nuts and earthy biscuits.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fairly good sessionability about it. Some dryness but not invasive as it comes across smooth enough to ride on into the finish with some crisp earthy hops.
Overall, I'd say this was a pretty nicely done Oktoberfest. If the red delicious apples were intentional, I'd say that was some fabulous innovation.
