V: Very laid back, but slightly upscale for the area. Small venue to be sure, and I hope they expand in the future
Q: For the area it is in, this is as good as it gets. The restaurant sits an hour north of Fort Wayne, and an hour east of South Bend, literally in a small county seat in one of the most conservative areas in the nation. This place is a Godsend.
S: The servers are knowledgeable and hip. Again, for the area they are excellent. Small town folks doing their best to give a big city experience.
S: Wide selection of craft burgers made to order. They offer "smash burgers" so there isn't much to offer as to how well done the meat is, but the cooks are very good at getting the patties at just the perfect doneness. Aside from the burgers they have macaroni and cheese entrees which are absolutely incredible, as well as wraps. They also have the Impossible Burger which is hard to find in that area. Their beer selection is almost exclusively craft with a few standard domestics in bottle. They are also a nano-brewery and have their own brew on tap. The only downside is they have a limited liquor selection and seating is also limited at the bar.
F: Given that it is in the middle of Nowheresville the food in AMAZING! I have been at the bar and heard people say they pulled off of the toll road 10 miles away just to check them out. The burgers are excellent, the mac and cheese entrees are surprisingly good, and the grilled cheese offerings are out of this world.
If you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods do yourself a favor and try them. Go for the burgers, and stay for the beer!
