Poured from a 12 oz can into a DFH shaped pint glass
Pours almost completely black with just the slightest ruby/brownish highlights when held to the light. About three fingers worth of tan/khaki head recedes slowly, leaving virtually no lacing.
Coffee is the dominant aroma, with notes of roasted malts, and chocolate. Not overpowering, but fairly bold. definitely inviting if you like coffee (or coffee beers)
Taste seems to follow the nose fairly closely. Lots of coffee, with underlying flavors of roasted malts and chocolate. Some burnt notes, and just a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied, and moderately carbonated
Overall, this is a pretty good attempt at a coffee porter
