Picked a can up in Lidl today, drinking it now. Not a great beer in my opinion. Not much smell, colour is dark like a pale ale, taste is of cheap mass produced beer. Has quite a stale strong taste, not offensive but not crisp and refreshing as a good larger should be. Oh well at least I have an Okacim waiting in the fridge!

This brand was introduced this week in the dutch Lild supermarket chain and is going to serve as the chain's house brand here. I don't have may information as to where it's brewed but I found on RB a brand with the same name and label, so I asuume it's the same and it's brewed in Poland. If I'm wrong please someone fix it.
On to the beer. Really cheap, it was 5.5 euros for a crate of 24, I only got two bottles to try it though. Poured into a pilsner glass.Carefully poured, gave me two fingers of white creamy head, with very good retention. Colour of the beer itself is deep golden. Very little activity in the glass. Head leaves no lacing as it goes down.
Aroma is malty and pretty much that's it. Pleasant though.
Taste is also more on the malty side, a bit weird at first but not that bad.Aftertaste not pleasant, but at least it doesn't linger for long.
Light body, but not watery, average carbonation. Dry on the palate.
Overall, a cheap generic beer, good for BBQ's on hot days, or for any other mindless activity (watching football etc)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
