This is an aggressively hopped west coast IPA. A hop blend of Amarillo, Citra, Chinook and Centennial combine to give this beer flavors of citrus, pine, and grapefruit. There is just a hint of malt with a crisp bitter finish.

Typically of most modern American IPAs, especially those presenting themselves as West coast style, this appears to be barley malt deprived. Insde a clear glass liter mug the contents of a pint can went and a mass of stark white foam was the immediate result. This is the sort of foam that seems to be expanding well after the pour has ceased. Wheat in the wort is the usual culprit. True to form, the mass eventually begins to recede unevenly and unattractively, leaving erratic lacing inside the glass. Moving past the ugly, the brew is a dull golden-amber that's mildly cloudy and that's better. The aroma is mildly hoppy in a West coast style way, a bit piney and a bit citrusy. But, it's without any complexity, nor depth. As feared by witnessing all the foam, this has little body. It drinks so thinly, its weak aroma probably isn't its worst category. Even the hops disappoint, as there's no bite like there should be from one in this category. They almost taste medicamal. Quite a bland drinking experience and far removed from the expectations the name provoked.

Poured from a growler from Whole Foods.
A - Medium amber gold color with dense, frothy creamy foam resting on top. Lacing is very sticky on the sides of the glass.
S - Light malt aroma with spicy, earthy citrus poking through.
T - Light caramel malt base, some citrus poke through at times, earthy spice, and pine. Well balanced from start to finish.
M - Thick body for an IPA.
O - Well balanced, middle of the road, and easy drinking. Don't overlook.

Pale amber color with an airy, quickly fading head; the nose presents a highly resinous hop aroma, along with some sweet malt scent if you search for it. The flavor has plenty of bitterness up front and center, with hop flavor tending toward the floral & piney. High IBUs pretty much make the malt invisible. Lots of body. Overall, it's a typical emphatic IPA--it doesn't really stand out in a field with a 1000 other such beers, but it's not bad.

Decent IPA. Could use a slight more malt back. Smells fantastic. Solid

Classic West Coast IPA taste and smell profile, good example of the style.
Had it from tap at the brewery in a small snifter. Clear golden yellow color with decent head and excellent lacing. Nice citrus and pine smell and taste. Something I would recommend.

Hops against humanity is a perhaps not a well balanced but otherwise a good hoppy IPA, IBU 75. The hops rule. Overall pretty good.
Look: semi-clear golden with a thin white head
Aroma: citrus/tropical fruit, hint of pine
Taste: grapefruit, mango, and a piney hop bite at the end
Feel: light to medium body
