At the brewery, served in a snifter. This can’t possibly be the Keller that I ordered, but…whatever, though not even remotely to the style I was expecting, it’s a decent beer. Kind of a clear brownish ruby, with minimal lacing. Nice rich but light slightly bready and sweet maltiness. ..just a very faint touch of earthy hops to keep things interesting. Has the flavor profile to be syrupy, but it isn’t, and thank goodness. Slight smokiness. I get absolutely nothing in the way of lager yeast…or Pilsner malt. If I had simply been drinking this blind, I’d probably rate this higher…but I was really hoping for a Keller, and whatever this is, it isn’t to style.
