On tap at the brewery. This beer looks like iced tea. No head, no carbonation, no lacing. The aroma is very lightly, leafy with a hint of smoke. The taste is pale and very faintly smoked iced tea. No taste of alcohol and not a trace of hops. Malts are a light grain bill. The feel is dead flat and smooth. Overall I believe this beer needs a lot of work but they're on the right track. It's okay.

Tap pour at the brewery/taproom. Served chilled in a goblet.
Dark brown colored body. Minimal beige colored head but does leave behind a swirling island and a thin ring. Leaves behind a few spots of lacing.
Aroma of malt and campfire smoke.
Taste is smoky and tends to be sour. Chocolate malt emerges midpoint and beyond. Green smoke in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Drying finish. Okay carbonation.
Smoky but too sour.

Clear ruby with just a thin crown of white head. Some nice smoked meat notes on the nose…on the taste, not bad, but it is a little to sweet and the feel is fairly wet, neither qualities is entirely what I hope for from the style. All in all, I’m not writing home about it, but it is respectable for a small and local brewery. Plus, I feel like I should just be grateful to find the style on tap.
