as a preface to this review, let me say that this beer is NOT a Berliner Weiss. it is a Hefeweizen.
on tap at the brewpub in Reedsburg. pours a drab golden color with a half finger of thick white head. decent retention and mild lacings.
aroma is of mild wheat malt with a bit of citrus and some distant bready yeast. simple and fresh in the nose with no real distinct characteristics.
taste follows the nose with a touch of caramel malts on the back end. well put together with a pleasant quality and a finish of a touch of banana and citrus.
mouthfeel is light bodied and slick from the wheat malt. finishes light with little residual.
drinkability is good. a pleasant and unassuming wheat beer tha goes down smooth and has a good overall character. a decent offering, for a Hefewezen.

A tasty little hefe...sampled at the Blues and Brews fest in Ashland and the owner was kind enough to fill me a growler to go at the end for free.
Pours a regal gold....white head on top...nose is sweet ripe bananas...like freshly baked banana bread...
Mouth is creamy with medium carbonation...flavor is sweet bananas...almost a little sugary...no cloves or lemons to note but a very tasty hefe if you are into the banana flavor (which I like)..
I had never heard of this place but was happily surprised at this solid offering....If I'm in the area I will definitely stop in to try more of this guys beers.
