No can date, but picked up at the brewery 2 days ago
Pours a fizzy foamy 1 finger off-white head with fair retention, a touch of lacing, hazy bright cherry red to copper color
Nose lots of sweet caramel, toffee, butterscotch and some general buttery note, not sure if diacetyl yet, fair fruity, orchard fruits, some fig,, apple, pear, plum, cherry, etc, buttery note is mostly gone and just butterscotch and ritz cracker so no diacetyl I think,
Taste starts fairly sweet, with more caramel and toffee up front, molasses, sugar daddy candy bar, then loads of fruit again, like a fruit punch, even some tropical mai tai like fruit flavors, fruit cake with the various raisin, golden raisin, pineapple, fig, pear, and more, with some rum cake character, butterscotch, light bitterness, fair warming alcohol and perfumey, sticky sweet finish with a bit more spicy hop bitterness that sticks out like a thorn
Mouth is fuller bod, med to lower carb, a bit syrupy, plenty of warming alcohol
Overall not bad, I do like all the fruit characters and rum cake kinda thing going on, outside of that it's a bit boozy and the spicy hop finish clashes a bit with the rest of the beer.
