Poured from bottle into Duvel tulip, good 2+ finger light tan head, good retention, no lacing. Turbid amberish red in the glass. Nose is slightly tart and hints of cherries. Taste follows the nose, slight tartness, big punch of cherries, carbonation livens things up. Good bit of funk lingering in the background and finish with a good spicy dry finish. Residual cherries on the palate.
Update: As it warms, the malt starts to shine a little, getting some caramel notes, but the cherries get amped up right along with it. Very nice beer

16.9 fl oz bottle poured into a paper coffee cup. Clear, vvid reddish amber with a thick head of off white foam and sticky rings of lace. Bright aroma of tart cherries, slightly funky, spicy yeast, and toasty grains. Malty amber body with caramel notes, more bright cherry notes, tart and slightly sweet. Light to medium body with lively but soft carbonation. An unexpected surprise from the refrigerator case at Royal Blue Grocery in Austin, TX.

This beer is worth the drive, at least for me. Best amber ale I think I have had. The flavors are bright, floral and fruity, a bit of cherries.
Had it fresh at the brewery in a snifter. Vibrant reddish orange color with a great head and beautiful lacing. I bought two bottles and am hoping the bottle version translates well. Highly recommend the beer and brewery.
Note added: Just having it from a bottle bought at the brewery. Holds up very well. This is now one of my favorite beers!
