Had a pour of this in June 2023 at the Live Oak Brewery. Didn't know it was a collaboration with this brewery until now.
Nonetheless, hot day, golf, heck yeah rice lager.

Golden appearance, light looking, very good clarity, 1/2" white head with good retention. That's a four. Inoffensive light grain aroma, not much for yeast or hop impact. It does smell like you're out at Jester King, so yeah, say the word Bart "rustic" (cheering classroom). Ok, so they're going with craft Budweiser, I can dig it, and did. True story, story checks out.

Taste is a stripped down from barley kind of easy going lager brew, barley, grain, rice, light in the mouth feel. Its a crispiboi with a hearty dose of carbonation for what ales you. What's the matter here 10,000 maniacs? Nothing, tis a good beer in every way.

I'm always down to see what Arizona or Texas have going on lager wise. Throw in Live Oak, and you have a chance at world class stuff. This one wasn't but its still pretty good and that's better than many deserve.

Thanks to Ozzylizard for this one, from his recent NBS BIF #13 hits. 16oz can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very hazy and cloudy dark yellow color with over an inch of white head that had moderate retention and very light lacing.

Nice grain aromas at the front of the nose, backed with some floral hops, and maybe a touch of yeasty spice.

Pretty similar on the tongue, but I'm a bit more certain about the yeast. It adds a nice little bite.

The body was a bit fuller than I'd like to see in the style, smooth, crisp, and had a semi-dry finish.

Drinkabilty was good, I could knock back a few of these over the course of the day.

Overall, a nicely solid and enjoyable brew. certainly worth a shot if you see it.

16 fl oz pull-tab:

More rustic than a traditional rice lager, which isn't to say it isn't clean drinking...just that some oaky woodsiness has pleasantly creeped in. 2-row pale malt is all I get maltwise...honestly, I doubt I'd even known rice adjunct was used if I came at this beer in a blind tasting. Generic floral hop flavour and a bit of rustic grassy/Noble-ish hop character lends it some complexity.

$13.99 USD plus tax for a 4x16 fl oz pack of this is laughable, but it's generally a pretty good brew. Price has no bearing on my rating, so given the quality here despite its shallow depth of flavour, I'm going to go with a:
