Presentation: Draft, served in a pilsner glass.
Appearance: The thick, one finger head goes down into a foam layer that stays around until the end and leaves behind a lot of patchy lacing. It's a really good looking, very hazy, yellow gold color.
Smell: The smells is not that strong but there are some very pleasant scents of grain and ripe banana.
Taste: There's some very traditional hefeweizen flavors upfront of wheat and banana with a rich, smokey aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It's very creamy and smooth with a medium body and medium carbonation.
Overall: An interesting take on a very traditional style of beer that sets it apart from the traditionally bland blonde and pale ales that a lot of new breweries start off with. This first beer from The Aviator's is a hit.
