On draught at the brewery. It pours a color between dark cola and mahogany with a thin, lite mocha head and minimal lacing. The smell is subdued with notes of chocolate, cola, spice, and a whiff of spice and tobacco smoke. The appearance and smell are more than redeemed by the taste: malty, roasty, and nutty with lots of chocolate. As it warms there is increasing coffee and vanilla cream. It finishes with a hint of cinnamon and bitterness. It's really flavorful. For a Milk Stout it has a rich, creamy mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and the 9.2% ABV gives it a nice kick. I drank it outside at about 57 degrees in the late afternoon and it was a nice experience. I'll be drinking this Porter again.
