Reviewed the week of can release. Poured into a pint glass. It pours a hazy, bright tangerine color with a thick, creamy, ecru-colored head and long-lasting, soapy lacing. The smell is really fragrant with ripe peach, tangerine, lemon, lime, and a whiff of candied fruit. The taste opens with a burst of fruit: orange/tangerine, tart lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, ripe peach, stone fruit, some soft tropical notes, and subtle pine. The Citra hops shine. There is also a hint of bubblegum from the Mosaic hops. The El Dorado hops add a touch of bitterness. It's highly flavorful but surprisingly delicate. This ale has a great mouth feel: plush and creamy, with a pleasant level of carbonation. The 8.3% ABV gives it lots of substance. Overall, Really Don't Think About It is a first rate hazy NE IPA . I think it's the best DIPA Untied has brewed yet.

This was the second beer from Untied that I traded for about a month ago as I also obtained the Untied Cares at the same time. A friend of mine picked them up at the brewery and thankfully, both of these held up well as this tasted as fresh as could be. Enjoyed how tasty and slick this was as this was plenty balanced with a well-hidden alcoholic presence at the same time.

Like any New England IPA, I couldn't see through this one as the hue was golden, hazy, and nicely luminescent. Enough head topped this off but amazingly, the lacing left behind was nearly nonexistent as there were only a few wavy segments of a ring that lingered near the top of my pint glass. Deep orange rind, turbid tropical fruit, and dank and dewy forest were in the understated nose as they came through much more in the taste. A good amount of sticky nectar and sweet honey, once again, held my interest as the basic, biscuit malt kept this full and chewy enough to balance things out. Mango, papaya, and orange blossom honey could be felt once this fully warmed up as this was floral and inviting while being relatively heavy at the same time, as the carbonation was nearly nonexistent.

That wasn't the case with the booze as I could feel myself warming up by the time I finished this off. No date on the bottom of this can but it had "STAY HYDRATED" written on it as it served as a reminder that I needed some water after having this. It wasn't because this beer was dry or left a hop burn in my throat, but because it was potent and weighty enough that it needed to be washed down a bit. I didn't have to think about this beer as it nearly did all of the proverbial thinking for me and if you're into New England IPA's that are less on the unfiltered and more on the tasty side, seek this out as an alternative to the norm.
