Traded for this with a friend last week as it was the first beer that I had from Untied in quite some time. These guys are still new in my book but if they keep cranking out brews like this oddly enjoyable IPA, it will help to put this area on the proverbial map!

This poured like dank orange juice with plenty of head topping it off as it softly settled down. Not a lot of lacing was left behind aside from a hint of a thick ring along the top half of my pint glass. Lots of gooseberry, white grape, pineapple, and fruit cocktail in the nose as the taste had all of those to a greater extent, with the flavors meshing nicely together. Some pine and outdoorsy dankness emerged once this fully warmed up but the hops all worked well together and none of them overpowered any other others. Slick, nicely carbonated, and just full enough on the palate, this was a fun IPA with a deep, pithy aftertaste the left me wanting more.

This was one of the few IPA's that I had lately which was stronger in heft than it was in actuality. That helped me take my time with this as the alcohol warmed me up quite nicely. No date on the bottom of the can as it just said "TRIANGLE" and nothing else. Nice job by Untied with this one as they're slowly getting better and better with each subsequent release!

Reviewed the day after release. Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours an opaque, murky pastel orange with brownish hues, and a thin, frothy milk-white head and creamy film of lacing. You can smell the Nelson hops immediately, along with lemon, grapefruit, and pineapple. The aroma is also weedy and dank. The Nelson Sauvin also shines in the taste, which includes tart lemon and grapefruit, pineapple, resinous pine, and berry notes. The Enigma hops compliment the Nelson in providing the taste of white wine grape and the Vic Secret in the whirlpool adds tropical fruit notes. There is little hop bitterness but the flavors are well-balanced and nuanced. As the glass warms, there is increasing pepper and a slight astringency at the finish which will probably dissipate as it settles in the can. This ale is creamy and pleasantly carbonated. And at 6.8% ABV it's highly drinkable. A second pour is not an issue. Overall, Invincible Youth is a very fine American IPA. The Nelson hops have been used very well and add sophistication to an excellent recipe.
