Stratospheric Rays of Haze has the emerging Strata hop added to the recipe. This Imperial New England Style IPA is dry hopped with African Queen, Strata, Motueka, Amarillo, and Ekuanot providing notes of dank stone fruit, black currant, zingy citrus, grapefruit, lime and apple.

Reviewed less than a week after can release. Poured into a tulip glass. it pours an opaque, bright tangerine color with a large, fluffy, snow white cap and significant thick lacing. The nose features sharp, ripe orange, lemon, berry, and grassy, herbal notes. The taste opens with sweet and tart tropical fruit: orange, lemon, lime, and berry. The Ekuanot and Motueka hops really shine. There's also hints of bubble gum and stone fruit. As it warms a bit the Strata hop influence is noticeable in the herbal, faint cannabis taste. At the finish there is a touch of spicy bitterness that increases as the ale warms. The flavors blend very nicely. Lately, Untied has been nailing the mouth feel in its DIPAs. Here, it's creamy and pillowy with appropriate carbonation and it drinks very easily for its 8.3% ABV. Overall, Stratospheric Rays of Haze is a welcome variant of one of Untied's flagship beers. It's first rate.
