Reviewed two days after can release. Poured into an Untied tulip glass. It pours a totally opaque yellow-orange color with over a finger of fluffy, eggshell-colored head and thick, creamy lacing. It's the epitome of a New England IPA. The smell features lemon, grapefruit, orange/tangerine, peach, and a whiff of ripe melon. The taste opens sweeter than the smell would indicate. The flaked oats give it a sweet, creamy taste that balances a rather tart, bitter fruit flavor. There is some nice berry and stone fruit in the background courtesy of Africa Queen hops. It finishes with significant hoppy bitterness and a touch of astringency which may mellow as the ale ages in the can a bit. It boasts a thick, creamy, luxurious mouth feel with near perfect carbonation. The 8.3% ABV is standard for Untied's NE DIPA's and gives it good substance. Overall, Lost in Yesterday is yet another in a series of excellent NE DIPAs from Untied. They have this style dialed-in.
