Poured from 16 oz. can into a pint glass. It pours a hazy, golden orange color with a thick, creamy, milk-white cap and lots of clinging lacing. A bright, fragrant smell featuring lemon, lime, orange/tangerine, and lite floral hops. You can taste the influence of the Motueka hops in the lemon-lime citrus. There is also significant notes of sweet tangerine from the Amarillo hops balanced by tart lemon and grapefruit. As the glass warms I can detect pineapple and sweet tropical fruit attributable to the Nectaron hops. It's dank with some weedy, earthy notes characteristic of Simcoe. There is a slight bitterness at the finish. This ale is moderate in body with a pleasant level of carbonation, and it feels almost lite at 6.8% ABV. Overall, while Tucked Away is less assuming than Untied's series of hazy, Imperial IPAs, it's nonetheless tasty and enjoyable. It's a solid NE IPA.
