Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, golden-orange color with a moderate, milk-white cap and spotty lacing. It's nose is subdued and includes notes of lemon, grapefruit, and berry. When initially sipped I taste fairly mellow, tart citrus. However, as it warms in the glass it becomes more complex with tangerine, raspberry, and a hint of melon. There is also a hint of bready malt, which provides additional sweetness. The El Dorado hops also provide a clean, slightly bitter, finish. This ale is lite and crisp with moderate carbonation and the 7.1% ABV makes it easily drinkable. Overall, while El Dorado isn't among my favorite hops, this ale grew on me as I drank it. It shouldn't be consumed too quickly as the flavors develop as it breathes and warms. Another good offering from Untied.
