Collaboration with Four City Brewing Company. Clacking Coconuts is a unique take on the American classic Cream Ale. It is creamy and crisp; but surprises one with toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, and Comoro vanilla beans. Created for sophisticated and basic pallets alike; Clacking Coconuts migrates ones mind from cold winter months to spring.

Reviewed less than a week after release. Pint pour at the brewery. It pours a slightly hazy, bright honey-amber color with a half finger of creamy, milk-white head and lacing. A rather subdued nose with lite grains, vanilla, and coconut. The taste redeems the smell. The base Cream Ale is solid with only slight corn sweetness. It's augmented by toasted coconut, vanilla, and the slightest hint of chocolate. These flavors are delicate and add only modest sweetness to the base ale. For the style it has a rather full body with pleasant carbonation, and the 5.2% ABV is appropriate for the style. Overall, this is a fine Cream Ale. Although I was wary at first, it's not gimmicky and the coconut is handled deftly.
