Hopped with Columbus, Citra, Motueka, Riwaka, and Idaho 7 hops providing notes and aromas of citrus, grapefruit, resin, and subtle notes of black tea reminiscent of breakfast at mom's house.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a dense, dusty orange color with a thin, ecru-colored cap and soapy lacing. The smell is big and bold with lots of tangerine, lemon, lime, melon, and tropical fruit. Its taste, however, isn't as sweet as the nose would indicate. There is fruit, for sure: lemon, lime, and tropical fruit from the Motueka and Riwaka hops, ripe melon from the Citra, and tangerine and earthy, herbal notes from the Idaho 7 and Columbus hops. But the wheat adds dry biscuit base that provides good balance. There is mild, clean bitterness throughout. As expected from an Untied IPA, the mouth feel is excellent: creamy with appropriate carbonation, and it's very drinkable at 6.8% ABV. Overall, Perla is another very good American IPA from Untied. It's flavorful and a pleasure to drink.
