Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, bright, golden tangerine color with almost a finger of creamy, milk-white head and thick, swirling lacing. The fragrant nose includes tangerine, melon, and musty lemon and lime. Its taste is unique and the product of an unusual hop bill. I taste sharp orange, lemon, lime, blueberry, melon, and stone fruit over a fairly sweet malt base. It's also highly floral with almost a tropical vibe. The First Gold, El Dorado, and African Queen hops are an interesting combination and they work well together. There is clean, soft bitterness throughout. It has Untied's typical thick, creamy mouth feel with pleasant carbonation, and it drinks more like 8.3 than 6.9. Overall, Diamonds in My Chain is an adventuresome recipe that's executed really well. It takes full advantage of some uncommon hops (First Gold and African Queen) and delivers a big, fruity taste. It's a fun beer to drink.
