Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, golden tangerine color with a modest ecru-colored cap and lite, spotty lacing. The nose is fruity and aromatic with lots of lemon and grapefruit, along with a hint of pineapple and stone fruit. Its taste offers a pleasing balance of tart citrus, ripe melon, resinous pine sap, and earthy wood over a firm malt base. As it warms there is a hint of red berry. The Simcoe hops provide pronounced bitterness throughout the pour. The mouth feel is lite and very drinkable at 6.8% ABV. Overall, this ale is has a basic hop bill but it's well-crafted and enjoyable.
