Drank with a friend at Beerhouse, Funchal.
From my mental notes, a week ago.
A: Body is red-ish to purple with a light sediment, showing a leaning to crystalline beer which is kind odd for a fruited lambic. Head vanishes quickly as you'd expect.
S: WOW CHERRY IN YOUR FACE. This is sooo much fruited that you couldn't tell by the look of it. The sour cherry marries so well with the light acidity coming in from the glass.
T: The taste is ******* brilliant. This is one of the best beers I've had in my entire life. Now I understand the hype around Antidoot as their productions - if they keeping respecting their motto on this beer, are superbly balanced with a high drinkability even for non-lambic consumers. It's fun to drink this after Tommie Sjef's Druif as both are some of the best beers I've had in my entire life but drinking this after TS's, almost feels like this is actually even better. That's something.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is low. Alcohol is unnoticed. Bitterness is medium high, acidity is medium.
O: Also one of the best beers I've ever had. What a lucky guy I am to have friends who share this stuff. Thank you João!

Bottle 2019. Pink head that fades. Ruby red color. Dark grape red.
Very complex. Starts out raspberry seeds, then the cherry cuts it with some sweetness. No acidity or tartness. The Pinot barrels show as it warms and adds another layer and rounds things out. Very smooth and enjoyable. Lightly dry finish. For a raspberry beer, this is a delight.

Pours ruby red in color with some lilac hints and a pillowy pink head, which vanishes immediately after pouring.
The whole balcony smells of ripe raspberries and smoky cherry piths, revealing a lighter jammy note, together with red apples and red fruit sorbet. The cherries in this provide a pleasant, flowery sweetness, creating a complex and intriguing nose on this.
Has a soft mouthfeel, showcasing a light bodied, well balanced, refreshingly tart beer.
Tastes of ripe cherries, moldy basement and lighter kiwi among fresh plucked, unripe raspberries, wrapped up into wet forest earth. Turns pretty tart then with old leaves and green apple skin among a light fruit sugar peak. Finishes funky, with shrooms and blue cheese, highlighting the matured, sweeter turning fruits in this by giving them a great complexity, with an accompanying tartness, blending together to a long lasting, sour and sweet finish.
A truly refined beer with a fantastic fruit composition to it, rounded out by the sparkly, yet soft mouthfeel and a supportive, zingy tartness.
