Pours a slightly clouded yellow color with a very small, instantly vanishing head.
Aromas are defined by wet leather, flowery plums, smoky piths and old wood among lighter bee honey. Dried blood oranges add a little complexity to the pleasantly fruity, plum enriched nose.
Offers a refreshing, light bodied and well carbonated body, revealing a late, stony quality, which manages to establish a convincing balance in this.
Tastes of sandy, flowery and sweet plums, together with a very pleasant tartness among matured oak, lime zest and lighter leather. Turns a little sweeter then with additional toffee and whole grain bread rind, amped up by a slightly balsamic, well balanced tartness, which adds a gentle, soft balance to the fruits. Finishes with more wood, sour plum piths and sweet, gentle pulp, entangled into dried worm wood and mugwort, creating an intriguing bitter and sweet, stony finish.
Masterfully integrated fruits, creating a truly complex, well balanced and smooth beer. The oak character in this gives the beer a unique depth, creating a great interplay with the plums in this.
