Yields dark red in color with a fluffly, slightly beige head atop.
Smells of meaty, ripe and fermented cherries with a note of additional jam, red currants and cinnamon bark among wine soaked, matured oak.
Has a light mouthfeel with a well developed, lively carbonation among a lighter, well working softness, leading to a very well balanced beer.
Tastes of earthy and ripe cherries, tied up by a soft tartness, gently balanced by moldy wood and additional toasted cherry piths, as well as pungent red currants. Develops a pinch of honey and toffee among dried herbs and unripe blueberries. Finishes soft with maintaining, alcohol soaked cherry pulp, a flowery smoothness and lighter hard cheese among overripe berries and bakers chocolate.
This is a very well rounded Oud Bruin with a great mouthfeel to it, benefiting throughout from the well fitting cherries in this.
