Yields a slightly clouded amber-golden color with a bigger noisy head, which slowly recedes to a lacing, coating the glass.
This got an utmost noble, fruity nose to it, leading with juicy rhubarb, apple puree and fermented white whine grapes, packing a flowery spiciness which adds a lot of character to dried oranges and subtle garden herbs.
The mouthfeel on this is light with a well developed late effervescence, creating a gentle refreshment among a lighter bodied beer.
Tastes of ripe white wine grapes inheriting nuances of kiwi, kumquats and dried orange peel together with old, wet oak and a lighter note of basement funk adding a gentle, lingering tartness. Blue cheese and dried garden herbs establish a well working dryness in this, opening up the palate to flowery honey, crabapple marmelade and fresh plucked elderflowers. Finishes with a gentle softness after a late effervescence developed on the back of the tongue, unfolding a gentle, herbal tea infused flowery bouquet with a longer lasting blood orange forward aftertaste.
Playful, complex and bright. This is incredibly nuanced and well balanced while highlighting both the beer and wine qualities at the same time in a very enjoyable manner.
