I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a six sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with thin tan ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had vanilla, pepper spice, and nutmeg notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip. There was a semi sweet dark chocolate malt base with bold cardamom spice at the front and a pepper spice at the finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
