Alematic Artisan Ales

Alematic is in a strip mall so parking's no problem. They are also a coffee place, so you can belly up to the bar at 8AM every day if that's your thing! That leaves the barista/bartender short-handed if it's still morning and they're trying to pour beers and froth milk at the same time. It wasn't terribly busy when I went and I was the only degenerate day drinker.

Beers are pretty good. The Hey Joe stout is really good. They were out of the Ecto Cooler, a Ghostbusters Hi-C inspired sour and that was a shame. About 18-20 beers on tap with a wide variety of styles.

Bartenders are very nice. Seats are unpadded and not very comfortable.

Vibe: This place is located in a strip mall so it's a long rectangular space. There are some tables by the windows in the front, a long bar along one side, and a bunch of tables in the back.

Quality: Beers were served in a variety of glassware at the proper temperature.

Service: There was only one bartender working when I visited, but the place wasn't crowded so service was quick.

Selection: A total of eleven beers were available on-tap when I visited. Three of these were special Black Friday variants of the Paint It Black IPA (blackberries, oak & vanilla, black tea). All of the beers were available in three different sizes and crowlers were available for all of the beers except the Black Friday special releases.

 

The strip mall location is less than ideal. They do pretty good at making the inside feel like a proper taproom. The service is really good and the beer was decent. Not a terrible place but definitely not great.
