Pours a hazy, deep golden amber coloration with a medium, foamy head and quite a bit of sediment on final pour. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and faint tropical hop notes of mango and papaya, with just a hint of gooseberry. Taste is sweet'ish biscuity, caramel malts upfront, with some tropical fruit notes of mango and papaya and lighter citrus/orchard fruit notes of grapefruit and gooseberry, as well as just a hint of pine. Finishes bittersweet, with a medium bitterness and some caramel malt, tropical notes and light pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Perhaps not a great NEIPA, but quite a nice IPA nonetheless, a bit of a cross between a NEIPA and WCIPA, actually, which works rather nicely in its own way.
