Pours a hazy, deep orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of mango, passion fruit and grapefruit, as well as hints of grassy dankness. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and vibrant, juicy tropical and citrus hops, with the tropical notes of mango and passion fruit dominating, as well as lighter grapefruit and tangerine and just a hint of grassy, herbal dankness coming through in the the aftertaste. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some mango, grapefruit and dank notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this somewhat lacks the soft mouthfeel that I expect from the style, the aroma and flavor profile are rather vibrant here, with distinct, juicy tropical and citrus notes as well as pleasant dankness and good bitterness in the finish. This is exactly the kind of NEIPA I can really enjoy, with a good balance of juicy fruit and dank and bitter notes, which provide a bit more character here. While the mouthfeel is not bad, I think there is still some room for improvement there, but otherwise this makes for a very nice and enjoyable NEIPA.
