Pours a hazy, deep orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head and some large floaters on final pour. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit, pineapple and grapefruit, as well as a certain herbal accent. Taste is a great balance of biscuity malt and tropical, citrus and stone fruit hops, being dominated by sweet, tropical passion fruit and pineapple notes and lighter peach and grapefruit, as well as distinct herbal element, reminiscent of sage or mint coming through in the aftertaste. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some passion fruit, peach and sage lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is not named "Tile 692" for nothing, after the experimental HBC 692 hop variety that lends a distinct sage note to this, while only being one tile in the mosaic of flavours here, with Galaxy bringing passion fruit, BRU-1 pineapple, El Dorado peach and Citra grapefruit to the table. There really is a great array of different, juicy fruit flavours to this, while dominated by tropical fruit, but I will also say that it is a bit too sweet for my personal taste overall, with very little discernible bitterness coming through here. Also, the relatively large amount of chunky sediment floating at the bottom of the glass here really is a little off-putting.
