Pours a clear, golden coloration with a large, frothy head and slightly visible carbonation. Smells of doughy, slightly grainy malt and floral, grassy hops, with just a hint of citrus coming through as well. Taste is a great balance of doughy, slightly grainy malt and floral, grassy, slightly fruity and spicy hops, with subtle citrus notes of lime peel, as well as hints of hay and black pepper also coming through. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some floral, grassy hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is far more restrained than I had expected from a "modern" Pilsner, but in a good way, It does stay true to the style. being dominated by floral and grassy hops without feeling overly fruity, but crisp and clean, with only subtle citrus notes coming through. There's a good malt/hop balance to this as well, although being perhaps just a tad too much on the malty side for my personal taste, with some distinct doughy malt that never feels too sweet thanks to a good bitterness though.
