Never believing that hoppy beer have shifted toward the sweeter, breadier, fuller, less bitter and fully aromatic direction forever, Fusion Brewing is pulling the IPA style back to the bitter, the drier and toastier side kicking and screaming.

The beer that's never saying die pours with a familiar but forgotten bright amber color and cast in a slight haze. As Acronym builds a creamy, fluffy crown, its scent is mild of caramel, citrus, spruce, toasted, nutty and berries. A crisp and tight sweetness of caramel, savory bread crust and a honey dipped nuttiness suggests something of granola to start.

Breaming with carbonation, the bubbles pull the malt off the tongue and allows the hops to carry the heavy impression across the middle palate with orange peel, pink grapefruit, lemon and blueberry. With minor hints of apricot and mango lurking in the recesses of taste, the beer confidently trends bitter with peppery grasses, fresh cut spruce and an overall resinous bitterness to close the session out.

Medium bodied but shifting quickly to dryness, the beer's stern carbonic bite highlights hop bitterness and facilitates its dryness exceptionally well. Exposing minor astringencies in both husk and hops, the beer ensures a high rate of drinkability, refreshment and effortlessness on the stomach but perhaps at the sacrifice of fuller taste. It's comforting to have a proper dry, bitter and refreshing IPA again.
