had this at Café 't Arendsnest as the only beer just before closing time. it was the recommendation by the bartender as the rare and exciting ender. just because it was extremely rare and the second highest in abv at eight and some change... don't remember that little bit exactly though.
beautiful pour of about 2 and half fingers of just slightly yellowish white head with lace and a nice german lager froth. body of amber reddish which wasn't completely clear but close. nose of a equal blend of apple crisp pie and a like floral zest, this was an interesting split in the palate as that floral was a very delicate lavender to the sweet of a tangerine. you know the kind... where the skin is bubbling out past the fruit. this was the parallel to some very consistent bock traits. the nice malt apple with a toastiness. the floral and the bitter corresponded. the beer was meaty, sweet, and leathery all at once. it was all too much to drink to fast but the glass was gone in no time.
