Look: Dark red brown with a large light brown head. Fades quickly to a thin layer but leaves lots of lacing around the glass
Smell: Strong smell of hops, pungent banana and pineapple, wet grass and hay.
Taste: Dark fruits, hay, grassy and earthy notes, hops are almost gone but they still give a little bite near the end.
Mouthfeel: Strong carbonation right up front and very smooth after that.
Overall this is a strange beer, a special dry hopped edition of the Wijs this should be a dunkelweizen but I honestly can't quite place it anywhere.
It's not a good example of the style but it's an interesting beer. The flavour is a little tame and I'd have liked a bit more of a hop punch in there. Had that been the case this would be a strange and pretty damn good beer.
At the very least I can say I've never had anything quite like it.
