Appearance:
Midnight mahogany with traces of ruby. The red shows up only at the barest edges, a faint glow of firelight on a distant, dark horizon. A tremendous head of brûléed beige foam burgeons to an impressive height that’s four fingers deep.
Bouquet:
Super concentrated, Dutch dark chocolate deluged in bitter coffee, orbited by a squeaky clean, malt dryness.
Feel:
Luscious, full-bodied stout, distantly ringed by a fuzzy carbonation that keeps that persistently resuscitates the beer from flatlining. Boasts a long, malty, bitter-sweet linger with a thimble of boozy warmth.
Taste:
As if someone slam dunked a honkin’ chunk of the world’s most unapologetically dark baker’s chocolate into a tall mug of Turkish, black coffee. Strong coffee is aggressively engaged in an epic, arm-wrestling match against an equally brawny, black chocolate from start to finish. Onlookers confetti the contest with crumbs of roasted black bread and smoked malts.
