Damn, I wanted this to be awesome. The pour looked good, nice head...but then just good. I wanted more. Disclaimer: I am not an IPA guy

Draft at the brewery
Nice creamy tan head medium retention and light lacing, darker but clear chestnut brown color
Nose big toasty biscuity malt, caramel, touch roasty with fair coffee character, toasted bread and cereal, raw grist, little chocolate
Taste big coffee and chocolate roast, more roast, coffee, and chocolate than I expected, toasted bread and cereal, light caramel, medium bitterness with fair grassy earthy hop notes, soft lager, drier finish, touch astringent on the finish, lingering chocolate coffee and roast
Mouth is medium bod with medium light carb, soft lager, touch astringent
Overall not my favorite, roast and chocolate get more into schwarzbier or even Irish stout level, good lager, hops get a touch heavy too, and a little astringent. It's not a bad beer just doesn't go where I expected.
