Explosive head which overflows the bottle. The glass starts off ALL head initially. Several pours are required to empty the 12 ounce bottle into the 16 ounce glass. Surprisingly little lace. Some yeast clumps suspended in the glass. Cloudy, brown color.
Malty beginning to the nose. No notable hop. Not overly sweet. Good all-malt balance.
Strong alcohol warmth throughout the tasting. Malt, otherwise, dominates. The swallow brings more warmth like a good Duppel. The aftertaste is like a boozy Brown Ale.
