On tap at the brewery
I first had this beer at the Punk In Drublic festival in Worcester last year and I was hooked. I’d been meaning to get to the brewery since then but never made it, until today, where my friends in Keep Flying are playing a show here. I knew I couldn’t miss out on this
Pours an opaque reddish pink with 2 fingers of pink tinted white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The raspberry in the nose is so tart and authentic, it’s wild. I’m picking up on aromas of tart raspberry, jammy strawberry, orange zest, lemon sorbet, and wheat bread
In taste it is quite similar, but the lemony tartness is much more present. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon juice, tart raspberry, bready malt, and a touch of strawberry. The swallow brings notes of tart raspberry, lemonade, orange zest, wheat bread, and sweet strawberry
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes slightly sticky but the tartness cuts through
It may be simplistic, but I love this beer a ton. And it’s cool that it’s named after a Rancid song!
