Golden ale.
A: Has the most disappointing head I've ever seen in a golden ale. Just a weak thin ring that sits there for about 20 seconds.
Body is a clear yellow-copper.
There's nothing remarkable about the appearance.
Sm: Muted Munich malts. A hint of floral hops. Honey.
That's it.
T: Munich malts. A shallow hint of honey. Floral hops when I search for them.
This is easily the most shallow simple golden ale I've ever chanced across. Most pale lagers have more complexity than this beer. Not liking this, but then it's hard to dislike because it's so neutral and insipid.
Mf: One of the flattest beers I've ever tasted. Smooth, wet, unrefreshing. Poorly executed.
O: Why brew this? It's blander than most adjunct lagers, and offers nothing to entice even the casual drinker. In a blind tasting, even the most knowledgeable beer fans would figure this for a lager; no evidence of ale yeast (and/or its characteristic estery complexity) is indicated.
