Pours black with a finger of khaki head. Aroma is roasty, with notes of roasty, toasty, caramely malts and spry espresso. Hints of chocolate and toffee linger just beyond, well outside of the spotlight. Espresso is rich and complex, and adds beautifully to the aroma. Flavor profile is espresso right over the top, with roasty, toasty, caramely malts just beyond. Espresso drives the performance here. Rich chocolate and light toffee add a little sweetness at the close of the flavor profile. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a velvety texture. Overall, big espresso notes with a lovely supporting malt cast.
