Pours black with two fingers of dense caramel-colored foam. Head retention is good. Rich ring of foam lingering on the top of the glass for a long time. Aroma is roasty, toasty malts with huge layers of lactose, coffee and vanilla bean. Coffee is roasty with a light acidity and strong, bold profile. Vanilla bean adds a light sweetness to the back, but not enough to turn it into a dessert. Flavor profile is more roasty and toasty malts that are accompanied by coffee and milk. Coffee is roasty with light to moderate acidity, and a bold profile - thinking more french press/cold steep processed. Vanilla bean adds a little sweetness, but nothing near enough to throw off the balance. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a decadent creaminess. Overall, rich and creamy with coffee and vanilla - it's exactly as it's labeled, and excellently done.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 32oz crowler.
