Gravel Beach was conjured up last year when we started to talk about our perfect late-summer beer. We leaned heavily into the Czech inspiration for this low-gravity (Desítka) Pilsner with a beautiful bready foundation and waves of Saaz spiciness and Hallertau hop bouquets that are awash with each sip. This beer pays tribute to our very own Gravel Beach behind the brewery - our urban oasis where beers are enjoyed, frisbees are thrown, and special times are had.

Had this from tap into a tall pilsner glass bright clear yellow. Nice white head and good lacing. Sweet grass smell and taste. A bit of lemon and biscuits. A bit hoppy and bitter. Nice pilsner!

Pours a foggy straw straw color with two fingers of white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is simplistic, hitting notes of grassy and zesty malts with a squeeze of lemon before breaking way to bready, biscuity, wafery malts. Flavor profile shovels the malts a little further forward, putting notes of bready, biscuity and wafery malts just aft of grassy hops. It finishes dry. Mouth feel is crisp, offering up smooth, but prickly, effervescence at the onset that breaks away for a more aggressive, prickly effervescence at the finish. Thickness is medium-thin. Overall, extremely mild and well behaved, this lager comes with a little dose of flavor wrapped up in a crisp and dry package.
Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 25oz crowler.

Pours a straw yellow, white head that quickly collapses. Lots of carbonation; minimal lacing.
The aroma is grassy and floral - lots of noble hops. The taste follows up on that hop character, a grassy bitterness with a clean hop bite in the finish. This is a very drinkable lager.
Crowler canned 7/24/2020.
