16oz can. Purchased from Alma Mader. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of bubbly foam. It smelled of maple, roasted coffee, chocolate and toffee. Sweet maple taste with rich toffee, caramel and dark chocolate. A touch a bitterness.

Pours black with a finger of caramel colored foam. Aroma is heavy roasted coffee, which has a bold, flat-line taste - akin to a mug of coffee at a diner, or an expressionless blend of beans. Chocolate and maple syrup sit behind, bring with it a tiny bit of sweetness. Roasty and toasty malts sit underneath, with a bigger emphasis on roasty. Flavor profile is a little more balance in terms of coffee presence. It's still roasty & toasty malts, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, maple syrup, and coffee, but the coffee is more equal to the other counterparts. Coffee leans bitter, contrasting the sweet maple syrup well. Chocolate has the same yin-yang, between milk and dark. Mouth feel is medium-thick in thickness with a bubbly texture that is a little sharp around the edges, but creamy in the middle. Overall, sharp coffee, with loads of chocolate and maple syrup to round it out. Not overly sweet like a dessert beer, thanks in large part to the coffee.
