Pours a translucent yellow with a hue of copper to it. Head is two fingers of fluffy, white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is grapefruit, orange, lemon zest, and orange rind along with a little bready, biscuity, doughy malts at the back. It has hop presence and bite up front, which quickly fade away for a brief glimpse at the malts before the nose profile concludes. Flavor profile grapefruit, lemon zest, orange rind, papaya, tangerine, grassy, piney, dank hops and biscuity, doughy malts. While the aroma is a quick transition between bright hops and bready malts, the flavor profile keeps the hops lingering out longer at the front, before an even more brief glimpse at the underlying malts. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a crisp effervescence that is just one notch thicker than a crisp lager, keeping this beer drinking refreshing, but with a little more presence in each sip. Overall, hops are great here with a clean balance and smooth transition from front to end. While the hops are the storyline here, they are not dripping from every pour like some other IPA styles, striking a little more nuanced balance in comparison.
