We sat down with our friends at Ozark Beer Company from Arkansas to dream up a summertime crusher. We went with a super light grain bill consisting of the finest German malt we could get our hands on, and used an expressive blend of Hallertau Mittelfruh, Saphir, and Motueka. Our goal was to highlight bright citrus notes with a floral, honey-like undertone. The end result is a beer that we could see bringing on float trips, hikes, or simply enjoying during the dog days of summer on your back patio.

Pours a golden straw color with a light haze to the translucency. Head is two fingers of white snow. Aroma is tropical fruits from the start, but they're quickly replaced by doughy, bready, wafery malts. Fruity yeast and clove wrap up the depth of the aroma. Interesting juxtaposition, though it remains crisp. Flavor profile is a blend of tropical fruits, dough, bread, and wafers. Fruity yeast is mild, but starts to come out more firmly at the end. Clove throughout. Tropical fruits and hop heavy at the onset, but it quickly clears to reveal the malt blend below. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a slightly chalky texture at the start. It turns to a juice texture at the finish. Overall, hop additions add some extra dynamic to this, without ruining the balance of a crispy, hot weather patio beer. Refreshing and playful.
