Bridge of Fog is a barleywine aged in a single Old Forester 1910 barrel for 24 months. Bringing together inspiration from both British and American barleywines, we laid this beer to rest into a heavily charred barrel. The bright fig and pruny backbone that we love in our barleywines is met with oaky layers of burnt sugar and chocolate mousse. We've been excited to see this beer come to light for a long time, especially Nick as this is one of his favorite bourbons.

(review from September 2024) (2024 release) Unbelievably well balanced, complex BA barley w/great palate heft; nice aroma; too many flavors to mention; an incredibly smooth fooler for a 15%er & such a clean, quick-fading, barely-there finish. If'n this is 15%, then I'm 15 feet tall!

Pours a very dark brown with a foggy translucency. Head is a finger of khaki foam. Oily legs coat the glass after a swirl of the heavy liquid. Aroma is toffee, molasses, fig, and minor dark fruits and char. Barrel character is present on the back end, adding presence, not heat. Flavor profile begins with dark fruits and toffee, before segueing into caramel, molasses, and fig. Barrel is present throughout, adding depth, but not alcohol burn. Mouth feel is thick with a near still effervescence. Semi-creamy in texture. Overall, decadent and filling, but on the more simple end of being a big, boozy, barrel-aged barleywine.
