Brewed for the Solstice weekend! We took our hazy pale ale base and added a heavy handful of playful hops including HBC 586, Mosaic, Citra, and Kohia Nelson. Expect big notes of honeydew, passionfruit, and tangerine.

Had Solar Thief poured from pint can, no date, into nonic pint.
Pours deep, hazy orange-juice, with huge near-white head, with excellent retention, leaving chunky rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of pine resin, pear, sweet citrus (orange), bitter herbals, tart citrus rind and tangy tropical fruits off pour, joined by berry, vanilla and hop spice aromas as warms. On tasting, begins sweet (pear) and tangy (peach) stone fruits, over a crisply-carbonated, light body, then sparkling lime arrives, with eventually also a little balancing pineapple, and carries into the somewhat piney, textured but not malty, very crisp finish.
A veritable kitchen sink of fruity hops and fruit, period, delivers what is, finally, a rather upbeat, tangy, citrusy, definitely American Pale Ale.
