Created to weave together the world’s indulgences. A wheated stout base aged in Willett and Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for 29 months was conditioned atop raw and toasted coconut and Bolivian cacao. If that wasn’t enough, we then added Columbian coffee from Onyx Coffee Roasters to the mix in a harmonious fashion. Each component was folded in to represent an equal third and play games on your pallate from start to finish. This interplay of ingredients brings out milk chocolate sweetness and coconut bliss, eventually shifting to fresh-brewed roast characters and subtle bitterness that is a journeyful retreat back to equilibrium.

(2024 release) Absolutely wonderfully complex BA imp stout with great palate heft, a smooth fooler of a 14.5%er that's mellowed so well with subtle coconutty/choco/roasty/vanillaish/bourbony notes it's incredible!

Pours black with no foam / head. Moderate oily legs clings to the top. Aroma is cocoa, chocolate, coffee, and coconut. It starts with a smooth induction, with those additives sprinkled across the top of firm, but balanced, roasty and toasty malts. Barrel is present, but more minor. As a whole, it smells smooth. Flavor profile extends on the flavor additives, hitting cocoa, chocolate, and coffee notes sprinkled rather heavily over coconut. Roasty and toasty malts sit underneath. Bold, and yet retains a splendid drinkability, with coconut really smoothing out the finish. Mouth feel is thick, filling, and creamy. Overall, really incredibly well done. Flavor additives elevate the beer without feeling like an overindulgence.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 500mL bottle. Reviewed from notes.
